With over 10 years of international experience in Research & Development and a speaker at international events, he is Head of R&D at SOP.

Gioacchino Quarta

Animal nutritionist and agronomist, with over 30 years of experience in the business and field of the agrifood sector.

He has collaborated, over the years, with numerous businesses/farms within this sector and has made in-depth studies into their dynamics.

At SOP, he is a speaker, trainer and Ruminant Sector Manager. 

Marcello Ermido Chiodini, PhD.

With a PhD in Agricultural Ecology and a Masters degree in the Science of the Production and Protection of Plants, he has long been involved in research regarding the determination of ammonia and GHG emissions connected to agricultural activities in the open field and liquid manure and digestate management.

Author and co-author of scientific articles published in international specialist magazines, within the SOP R&D team, he deals with sustainable agriculture and manages relations with research institutes.

SOP's Technical Commercial Team

Our aim is to assist the growth of farms and farmers via the use of the SOP products and solutions, carry out research in the field and communicate the needs of the farmers to our Research & Development team in order to be able to create effective solutions.

We are very proud of our commercial structure; it is made up of agents who are capable of guaranteeing a high level of excellence, competence, confidentiality and...passion. Passion for farming, passion for traditions and for offering customers solutions to increase the economic, environmental and social sustainability of their businesses.

At the heart of SOP's Technical Commercial Team are 2 key figures: 

Paolo Schiavetta - Sales Manager

With over twenty years of international experience in the dairy and forage sectors, he has worked with SOP from the very beginning.

He is a trainer, Key Account Manager and is responsible for the entire Italian sales network, coordinating the team of technicians and salespeople.

Marco Rocchetta – Agro-livestock technical support

For more than 15 years he has been assisting our customers and our sales network on a daily basis, specializing in the dairy and forage sectors.

He is our reference point for environmental hygiene and the management of loose yards/bedded packs and cubicles/stalls on dairy farms.
