Herbage & Alfalfa
Herbaceous crops and alfalfa support the land by being in rotation with other forage crops, especially maize.
Often, however, it is the initial phase of growth that is the most decisive, but also the most critical.
Sparse germination, competition among the species, weeds and the necessity to fill the gaps between seedlings are just a few of the problems that a farmer may have to face during these phases and that risk compromising the system during its whole duration.
More and more unpredictable seasons have also made us realise how fundamental it is to be able to programme the harvesting operations in a very short time: for this reason, uniform growth and uniform maturation represent important parameters for the security of the farmer.
All of this without losing sight of the land, the true "protagonist" for these crops, which needs to be rienforced in content and structure.
